Beyond soccer, players develop confidence, discipline, teamwork, and resilience — values that last far beyond the field.

Established in 1968, HYSA is one of the largest youth soccer associations in Texas, aiming to provide a high-quality environment for youth soccer activities.

Players must respect opponents, officials, and spectators; learn and abide by the laws of soccer; show sportsmanship; accept officials’ decisions; and understand that playing soccer is a privilege.

Officials are expected to know the game rules, prioritize player safety, treat participants courteously, work cooperatively, and maintain fairness and consistency in their decisions.

Promoting fitness, skill development, a desire to succeed, responsibility, cooperation, dealing with success and failure, discipline, coping with life’s realities, respect for authority, and providing a fun and enriching experience.

Games are scheduled based on age groups, team availability, and league requirements. HYSA aims to create a balanced schedule that considers travel, competition level, and team preferences.

Notifications about cancellations or rescheduling are communicated through team coaches or managers, the HYSA website, or direct emails to parents. It’s essential to provide up-to-date contact information to your team’s coaches to receive timely updates.

They should not coach from the sidelines, respect the referee’s judgment, focus on positive reinforcement, support all players, and understand that soccer provides valuable development opportunities for youth.

Spectators are encouraged to support all players positively, respect officials’ decisions, and follow the venue’s rules, including seating arrangements and parking guidelines. Negative comments or behavior towards players, coaches, or referees are strictly prohibited.

By promoting sportsmanship, offering encouragement, respecting all participants, and adhering to HYSA’s code of conduct. Being a positive role model and encouraging teamwork and fair play contributes significantly to a supportive atmosphere.

Yes, spectators must stay within designated areas, avoid coaching from the sidelines, and follow all facility rules, including those regarding pets, smoking, and noise makers. Ensuring a safe and respectful environment is crucial.
